Hiking in Zillertal
There are plenty of hiking trails starting from the valley / Platzalm / Wedelhütte. Most of them do not require any previous experience and could take up starting from 2 hours of your time (both ways).

Hintertux Glacier
40 minute drive from Kaltenbach you can find winter in summer. Hintertux Glacier offers cave trekking, different levels of hiking tours, glacier tours, skiing in summer and ice tours.

Silver mine
This attraction is located 25 minutes away from Kaltenbach and offers insights into the life of unterground mining 500 years ago. Don’t forget to try their delicious pizza served in the restaurant.

Ahorn Eagle’s Stage
This is the highest-altitude birds of prey station in Europe, located 2000 m above sea level. Observe eagles a few inches above your head diving down and grabbing their bait. This attraction can be reached in 35 minutes by car.

Visit one of the biggest producers in this region and their fascinating world of crystals. A great museum for adults and children located in Wattens (30 minutes drive from Kaltenbach).
